The Modern Village:
A Continuing Education Series for Parents
spring classes: April 15 to April 25, 2013
registration begins: February 18, 2013
We’re pleased to present The Modern Village: A Continuing Education Series for Parents, with classes offered in New York City, and available online, in January 2014.
the ‘modern village’ is…
…dedicated to the social and emotional health of today’s families. Today’s parenting requires an entirely new set of skills, from managing multiple childcare arrangements to coaching teenagers about living IRL.The roles of mothers and fathers are evolving too, requiring a new cultural literacy for the entire family.
the workshops are…
…like your children’s enrichment classes, only for you. We’ll focus on the challenges specific to our modern villages, and the tools and skills needed to face those challenges. Classes will be led by experts from a variety of fields. The class structure will emphasize discussion between parents and experts, and among participants, giving everyone a chance to speak and ask questions.
